Organizing Photos with EasyShare
Copying and Moving Photos Between Albums
Technically, EasyShare Gallery doesn’t have a command to move a photo from one album to another, so you have to do it in two stages. First, copy the photo to a new album, and then, if you so desire, go back and delete the original.
Here’s a step-by-step description of the process.
- At the top of the Gallery window click the “View & Edit Photos” tab.The next page displays the albums in your Gallery. If you have more than a dozen albums, then there may be more than one page. (Numbered links at the bottom take you to other pages.)
- Click to open the album you want to organize. In the upper left, under Album Activities, are three options: Buy Prints, Share Album, and Copy Photos.
- Click Copy Photos (Figure 2).A new page opens, with a checkbox below each of your thumbnails.
Figure 2. Click to select the photos you want to copy and a check mark appears in the box below the picture. (Photos with the heart below mean you’ve tagged them as favorites.) After you’ve made your selection, choose an album from the Select Destination drop-down menu, or create a new one.

- Turn on the checkboxes to select the photos you want to copy.If you want to deselect a photo, then click it again to remove the checkmark.
- From the drop-down list at right, choose the album where you want to send the photos. If you want to create a new album, then click the link (”create a new one”) above the drop-down list.
- Click the Copy Photos button. After copying the photos, EasyShare Gallery displays the destination album with its new contents.
Deleting Photos from Your Albums
Deleting photos is a necessary, if tedious, part of photo organization. For example, if you’ve copied a photo to another folder, then you may no longer need it in the original location. Or maybe you shouldn’t have uploaded the photo in the first place.
In any case, here’s how to banish a photo from your EasyShare Gallery:
- On the “View & Edit Photos” page, choose the album you want to organize. The next page reveals the album’s contents (Figure 2).
- Click the photo you want to delete.A full-size version of the photo opens on a new page.
- Below the photo, click the Options button. On the drop-down menu that opens, click Delete Photo.A box pops up to make sure you want to delete the photo. Click Yes to send it to the great bit bucket in the sky.
